Greenlane Collaborates on Charging for Heavy Duty Battery EVs
Greenlane, a public electric commercial truck charging network service provider, announced a collaboration to increase the development and installation of public charging infrastructure for Heavy Duty Battery Electric Vehicles (HD BEVs).
The company, which is a $650 million joint venture between Daimler Truck North America, NextEra Energy Resources, LLC and BlackRock (through a fund managed by its Climate Infrastructure business), will collaborate with Uber Freight, an enterprise technology company powering intelligent logistics.
The strategic collaboration will increase the adoption and deployment of HD BEVs at scale. This important step will determine how HD BEVs can operate and distribute goods as efficiently and cost effectively as possible. Greenlane will leverage insights from Uber Freight's logistics network to discover strategies regarding the future development and installation of public charging stations on highways in North America.

Greenlane announced it will build its first charging corridors in Southern California, followed by the Texas Triangle and northeastern U.S.
