Net Zero Forum Spring Expands Educational Program

Smart Energy Decisions (SED) announced additions to the conference program for Net Zero Forum Spring, to be held February 26-28, 2024 in The Woodlands, TX.

Sessions span energy efficiency, decarbonization strategies, and cutting-edge technologies to support the zero-carbon future—as well as user-generated topics in detailed Q&A sessions.

“With a variety of key topics, engaging formats, and experienced speakers, Net Zero Forum Spring will deliver critical insights and opportunities for energy and sustainability professionals seeking knowledge and connections,” said Debra Chanil, Director of Editorial and Research, Smart Energy Decisions.

General sessions include:

  • “What’s Old, New and Next for Hourly Carbon-free Matching Products?” keynote panel led by Brian Megali, Director of Clean Energy Policy at Constellation
  • “The Decarbonization Journey Begins with Energy Efficiency” keynote presentation by Sharon Nolen, Fellow, Global Natural Resource Management at Eastman Chemical Company.
  • “Planning Right: Decarbonization Strategies for the Four Organization Archetypes” presented by Trane.
  • 2024 WISE Award panel discussion

Spotlight sessions will feature:

  • “Thriving in a Water-Stressed World” spotlight session by Matt Howard, Vice President for Water Stewardship at The Water Council—an Industry Trade Partner for the Spring edition.
  • “The Current State of Voluntary Carbon Markets” by Peter Kelly-Detwiler, Principal, NorthBridge Energy Partners LLC.

"Ask the Expert" is a new feature for Net Zero Forum, featuring expert speakers participating in a series of open Q&A in the Energy Hub. Sessions will be hosted by General Motors, Howard Hughes Corp., Texas PACE Authority, and more. 

Net Zero Forum will offer a pre-conference session, "Destination: Net Zero Workshop led by Joby Carlson and Peter Kelly-Detwiler, who will provide a comprehensive yet streamlined onboarding to fundamental Net Zero concepts, strategies, and tactics for professionals looking to support or lead change in their organization.
