Mitsubishi Motors to Electrify Half of Sales by 2030
In its three-year mid-term plan (MTP), Mitsubishi Motors Company committed to making 50% of its sales EVs by 2030 and electrifying 100% of its fleet by 2035.
Under its MTP – called Challenge 2025 – Mitsubishi said it will accelerate efforts toward a sustainable carbon-neutral future, made possible through a reduction of vehicle CO2 emissions by 40% and a reduction in operational CO2 by 50% by 2030. It also defined EVs as a blend of plug-in hybrids, hybrids, and pure electrics.
Mitsubishi said this goal is made possible through more aggressive investment in R&D and CAPEX, especially in the areas of electrification. It also established a goal to enhance collaboration with Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance partners.
