Avantor, Inc., a global provider of products and services to the life sciences and applied materials industries, reduced its Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 9.6% compared to a 2019 baseline.

This represents progress of more than 50% toward the company's 2025 reduction goal. Details were provided in its 2022 sustainability report highlighting the company's significant progress in innovating for a sustainable future.

The company reduced its GHG emissions by lowering energy consumption (electricity, gas and fuels) and seeking renewable and other lower-impact energy sources, worked to protect the environment by preventing pollution from production and logistics, avoiding or minimizing waste generation and promoting the use of environmentally preferable products and packaging and monitored and managed the environmental impact by tracking energy and water use, waste generation, recycling and other related activities and taking action to reduce the impact.
