Meta, formerly Facebook, is building its newest hyperscale data center in Kansas City, Missouri The nearly 1 million-square-foot facility, located in the Golden Plains Technology Park, will be supported by 100% renewable energy.

Meta will invest more than $800 million to build the data center, calling it “one of the most sustainable data centers in the world.” The data center is expected to be operational in 2024.Â
