Reworld, a sustainable waste solutions company, announced that it avoided 41 million metric tons of GHG emissions in 2024.
The company also announced that 9.1 million MWhe of renewable energy were generated by Reworld Thermomechanical Treatment facilities (TTFs), 470,000 tons of metals were recycled, 166,000 tons of waste was processed as alternative fuel, and 3.6 million Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) were delivered through ReCredit™, supporting Scope 2 GHG reductions.
Reworld also reported that 284 million gallons of wastewater were treated and reused through ReDrop, advancing water resiliency and regulatory compliance and avoiding landfill methane while efficiently generating baseload renewable energy and recovering metals.
As detailed in its 2025 Sustainability Report, Reworld operates a nationwide network of more than 90 thermomechanical treatment, material processing and recycling facilities. Its efforts are anchored by five featured solutions that help customers reduce, reuse, recycle and recover value from waste streams: zero waste to landfill, alternative fuel engineering, wastewater treatment, transportation and logistics, and sustainable private credits.
“At Reworld™, we strive for innovative solutions that achieve both sustainability and growth,” said Tequila Smith, Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer, in a statement. “We are accelerating the transition to a more circular economy while delivering measurable results for our customers and communities.”
