PVH Corp. to power operations with 100% RE by 2030

PVH Corporation committed to powering their offices, warehouses and stores with 100% renewable electricity and reducing supply chain emissions by 30% before 2030.

The global apparel conglomerate announced in their newly released 2019 Corporate Responsibility report their goal to also reduce Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 70% before 2030. Their targets have been approved by the Science Based Target initiative and they have pursued other accountability organizations to help accomplish their goals, such as RE100, the Apparel Impact Institute and the United Nations Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action.

“While the apparel industry will be uniquely transformed post-pandemic, we have a responsibility to help shape this `new normal’ for the benefit of all stakeholders,” Manny Chirico, Chairman and CEO at PVH Corporation, said in a statement. “We are steadfast in our commitments to prioritize climate action, to build tighter, more resilient supply chains, to fight for social justice, and to deliver more sustainable products to our consumers.”

The key pillars of the company’s CR report are reducing their negative impacts to zero, increasing their positive impacts to 100% and improving the lives of more than 1 million people across their value chain.
