ONEOK announced the midstream energy company achieved reductions equating to approximately 50% of its total 2030 GHG gas emissions reduction target as of year-end 2023.

ONEOK announced the midstream energy company achieved reductions equating to approximately 50% of its total 2030 GHG gas emissions reduction target as of year-end 2023.

The company also lowered Scope 1 methane emissions 36% from a 2019 baseline year and continues to invest in energy solutions such as emission-detection satellite technology and low-carbon fuel and participates in hydrogen and carbon storage-related studies.

Since 2019, ONEOK lowered absolute methane emissions from its  Scope 1 operations by 36%. The company continues to reduce methane year over year by leveraging methane detection technology, implementing methane best management practices and eliminating methane emissions sources in its operations.

Details were released in its annual Corporate Sustainability Report highlighting the company’s progress and commitment toward environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance.
