Global industrial process fluids manufacturer Quaker Houghton announced the company achieved a 7% reduction in Scope 2 GHG emissions compared to 2023.
The company also announced that 76% of its global electricity consumption is sourced from renewable or zero carbon sources.
Quaker Houghton lowered its Scope 2 GHG Emissions by 9% compared to 2023, created a roadmap to reduce GHG emissions at major locations and implemented 64 projects that further reduced energy consumption.
The company announced it increased renewable-based electricity by 5% compared to 2023. It installed solar panel systems at three additional manufacturing locations and rolled out energy monitoring software at five additional manufacturing locations. Now 76% of Quaker Houghton’s electricity is sourced renewable via grid, on-site solar generation and purchased renewable contracts.
Details were released in its 2024 Sustainability Report.
