EBARA Corporation received certification from the Science Based Targets initiative that EBARA Group’s GHG emission reduction targets for 2030 are science-based and its short-term targets consistent with the goals set forth in the Paris Agreement.
The EBARA Group — a Japanese manufacturer of products in the construction industry, energy, infrastructure, environment, and precision and electronics — plans to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 55% from FY2018 levels by FY2030 and reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions (Category 11) by 25% from FY2021 levels by FY2030, according to a statement.
The EBARA Group seeks to achieve carbon neutrality across its value chain in all scopes by 2050 and will continue to make additional efforts to lower GHG emissions through a wide range of measures, including promoting energy conservation, expanding the use of renewable energy, and improving the environmental performance of its products and services.
In 2020, the company established a long-term vision, E-Vision 2030. The EBARA Group identified “comprehensive environmental management” as a material issue and is actively working toward achieving carbon neutrality.
