Apotex Inc., a Canadian-based global health company, announced it sourced 81% of global electricity consumption from renewable or low-carbon sources in 2024.

Apotex Inc., a Canadian-based global health company, announced it sourced 81% of global electricity consumption from renewable or low-carbon sources in 2024.

The company also achieved significant reductions in Scope 1 and 2 emissions through the implementation of energy-efficient technologies across its facilities.

Apotex also hired a new Head of Sustainability to advance the company’s enterprise-wise ESG strategy and seeks to continue implementing energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy solutions to further reduce its environmental footprint. 

The company — which provides generic, biosimilar, innovative branded pharmaceuticals and consumer health products — published details in its 2024 Sustainability Report, showcasing its ongoing commitment to sustainable, responsible business practices and its global impact.
