Roady’s Truck Stops, a chain of independent truck stops, announced it signed an agreement to add EV charging.
The company entered into a partnership with XCharge North America, a North American subsidiary of XCHG Limited and a provider of high-power EV charging and battery-integrated solutions, which will serve as the sole provider of EV charging equipment and solutions to Roady’s members. Roady’s members own and operate the company’s more than 500 franchisee locations nationwide.
“Many of our members are small business owners, and we are committed to empowering them to operate their business in whatever way fits their individual needs. XCharge NA helps us further that goal,” said John Fechik, consultant to Roady’s and PTP Truck Stops, in a statement. “XCharge NA’s innovative and user-friendly chargers will help our members attract new customers to their locations and drive revenue amid economic volatility.”
In addition to the variety in ownership models, the reliability and seamless user experience of XCharge NA chargers influenced Roady’s decision to partner with the company.
Roady’s members will have access to a myriad of products, including a GridLink charger designed to improve the resilience of the North American grid and a newly launched virtual point of sale integrated payment system in collaboration with Stripe, Inc.
