Real estate investment trust Urban Edge Properties announced a 38% reduction of Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions as compared to a 2015 base year, marking progress toward its goal of a 50% reduction by 2030.
The company also upgraded over 70% of property roof areas with energy-efficient systems and invested over $50 million in energy-efficient roofing since 2015.
Urban Edge Properties also installed or is in progress of installing over 100 electric vehicle charging stations at its properties and obtained 11 Sustainable Property Certifications from the Institute of Real Estate Management, according to Urban Edge’s 2024 Corporate Responsibility report.

Urban Edge Properties is a estate investment trust focused on owning, managing, acquiring, developing and redeveloping retail real estate in urban communities primarily in the Washington, D.C. to Boston corridor and owns 72 properties totaling 17.1 million square feet of gross leasable area.
