Accelerate Houston and 2nd RE Forum added to SED’s 2020 events
Smart Energy Decisions announced its expanded schedule of events for 2020, including its second city-specific conference and a west coast edition of the Renewable Energy Sourcing Forum, which have been added to the line-up.
Building on the excitement created by the upcoming Accelerate Philly event taking place on December 9-11, 2019, SED will debut Accelerate Houston, March 12-13, 2020 at the Houstonian Hotel, in Houston. This landmark event will bring together large electric power users, suppliers, renewable energy developers, and government from Houston to advance best practices in renewable energy sourcing and energy efficiency. Working with the Houston Office of Sustainability, the event will support the city’s bold Climate Action Plan, with a focus on the energy transition, building optimization, and electrification of transportation in the region.
Accelerate Houston will immediately follow SED’s 4th Innovation Summit, March 9-11, also at the Houstonian Hotel. This unique and exclusive event addresses all areas of energy supply and demand management in an intimate environment where large power users learn, network and meet with suppliers that can help them succeed. Buyer registration and requests for supplier participation to both the Innovation Summit and Accelerate Houston are now open.
SED’s 2nd Distributed Energy Forum is set for September 21-23 in Philadelphia, presenting the only industry event produced specifically to serve the unique needs of large power users interested in deploying distributed energy resources including onsite renewables, energy storage, microgrids, fuel cells, demand response, EV charging infrastructure and more.
The DEForum will be followed by the 2nd edition of Accelerate Philly, September 24-25, organized once again in partnership with the Philadelphia Energy Authority. This special regional event will address the unique needs of large power users in the eleven-county Greater Philadelphia Region and focus on a unique mix of content focused on the implementation of best practices in energy efficiency and renewable energy sourcing.
Two editions of the Renewable Energy Sourcing Forum are slated for 2020, including the 5th edition of the event taking place June 15-17 at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and a new edition in California, December 7-9. The RE Sourcing Forum presents a focused series of educational sessions, one-to-one meetings with suppliers and networking opportunities with peers to accelerate adoption and facilitate best practices in renewable energy sourcing.
