Baxter Adds Three Solar Arrays, Improves Emissions

Baxter International Inc. a global medtech company, completed the addition to the completion of three new on-site solar installations that are expected to reduce GHG emissions by 1,400 metric tons CO2 e annually starting in 2023.

The company also finished over 160 energy conservation projects, which avoided an estimated 10,600 metric tons CO2 of GHG emissions.

Details were provided in its 2022 Corporate Responsibility Report, which includes Baxter’s 2022 Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Index in alignment with the Medical Equipment and Supplies Sustainability Accounting Standard. 

Baxter also plans to report results based on the framework established by the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) later this year.
