Check Point Software Technologies, a  global cyber security solutions company, announced it achieved 100% renewable energy usage at the company’s international headquarters and Tel Aviv offices.

Net Zero Corporate Governance

Check Point Software Technologies, a global cyber security solutions company, announced it achieved 100% renewable energy usage at the company’s international headquarters and Tel Aviv offices.

The company also achieved a 75% reduction in emissions intensity, 70% average power efficiency improvements across its quantum force branch office models and 80% offsetting of emissions from office electricity consumption, according to its 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, “Sustainability in Security.”

Check Point’s Scope 1 emissions declined 49% in 2024 compared to 2023, which was attributed to the purchase of new chillers in 2023.

This year was the first time the company calculated market-based emissions. The purchase of renewable energy certificates contributed to a 76% reduction, primarily due to offsetting electricity consumption at the company’s international headquarters and Tel Aviv offices, which represent around 80% of electricity-related emissions from offices under the company’s control and 74% of total energy consumption across all offices.

The company continues to explore additional strategies to reduce its Scope 2 emissions at its local offices and conducts regular energy assessments at its international headquarters to identify opportunities for energy conservation and efficiency improvements. The potential initiatives that are being evaluated include solar panel installations, energy storage systems and onsite energy generation capabilities.

Check Point also introduced new power efficient security appliances, helping customers reduce power consumption while improving cyber security protection.

“At Check Point, our mission is clear: We are here to secure the digital future through trusted innovation, responsible leadership, and unwavering commitment to people and the planet,” said Nadav Zafrir, CEO at Check Point, in a statement. “As laid out in our 2024 ESG report, our cyber security solutions don’t just defend against threats — they create the foundation for sustainable, responsible digital transformation.”
