Google committed to investing approximately $150 million into renewable energy projects in key manufacturing regions.

The tech company confirmed that all shipping of Made by Google products is officially 100% carbon neutral.

The commitment to invest in new projects focused on its Nest products and the sustainability initiatives surrounding its production. One hundred percent of Nest products launching in 2019 are built with recycled plastics.

Alongside investment partners, Google aims to catalyze about $1.5 billion of capital into renewable energy. While they didn’t provide specific project details, the announcement follows the largest corporate purchase of renewable energy, which the company made in September.
