Hexatronic Group, a Swedish fiber solutions company, announced that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated its science-based climate targets for 2030 that will contribute to the transition to a low-carbon future.

The Hexatronic Group commits to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year and reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and upstream transportation and distribution by 51.6% per million SEK value added within the same timeframe. 

“Science-based targets foster transparency and accountability, allowing stakeholders to trust that our sustainability commitments are both ambitious and achievable,” said Pernilla Eriksson, head of sustainability, Hexatronic Group, in a statement. 

By aiming to reduce emissions across the value chain, Hexatronic says it is driving positive change throughout the industry. The company’s efforts to cut Scope 3 emissions, which include those from purchased goods and services and upstream transportation, demonstrate Hexatronic’s dedication to comprehensive climate action.
