The AZEK Company Inc., a manufacturer of outdoor living products, announced that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated the company’s near-term science-based targets for reducing GHG emissions. 

This validation marks a milestone in AZEK’s ongoing efforts to advance sustainability, circularity and climate action.

AZEK’s validated targets include goals to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% by FY2030 from a FY2021 base year and to reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services 63.8% per pound of raw material procured by FY2034 from a FY2021 base year.

AZEK’s validation marks another step in the company’s FULL-CIRCLE sustainability strategy, which includes increasing the use of recycled materials, reducing operational emissions, developing durable, sustainable outdoor living products, and promoting circularity across its value chain. The company manufactures TimberTech® Decking and Railing, Versatex® and AZEK Trim®, and StruXure® pergolas.
