Global food delivery companies Glovo, Uber Eats and Just Eat will add electric scooters to their fleets in Portugal and Spain.

Silence, ACCIONA’s electric vehicle brand, and PandaGo, a company that focuses in fleet management for last-mile delivery, signed an agreement for the exclusive use of electric motorcycles and battery swap stations for food delivery in Spain and Portugal.

Glovo, Uber Eats and Just Eat will use over 3,000 electric scooters acquired by PandaGo for their food delivery fleets in the two countries.

The agreement also allows the PandaGo platform to include Silence’s digital services and have access to ACCIONA’s 160 or more charging stations where discharged batteries can be replaced with ready-to-use ones in less than 30 seconds without having to leave the vehicle idle during recharging time.

The scooter model will be the Silence S01, a high-performance electric motorcycle suitable for food delivery. It offers free access to Low-Emission Zones and reaches speeds of over 110Km/h, allowing it to travel safely on fast roads. It also stands out for its large storage capacity, low fuel consumption and low maintenance costs.

The motorcycles will be equipped with keyless technology and will be managed through the PandaGo platform and app, which will enable a more swift, cost-effective and decentralized use for its customers.

The agreement also involves M-Automoción and Grupo El Motorista, which will provide a network of specialized workshops to guarantee the technical support and comprehensive maintenance of the fleets during their service life.
