Deoleo, an olive oil producer and maker of brands including Bertolli, achieved a 30% reduction in GHG emissions over two years.
The Spanish multinational food company also announced that 98% of its electricity is sourced from renewables and 100% of co-packers and suppliers were assessed for ESG performance.
In 2024, Deoleo committed to reducing its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by over 50% by 2032.
As of 2024, electric vehicle charging stations have been installed at the Rivas, Spain, Alcolea, Spain, and Tavarnelle, Italy sites and are available to all employees to help reduce emissions by promoting electric cars. In Italy, the company launched the JoJob carpooling application, which aims to promote carpooling and reduce CO2 emissions per trip.
Deoleo released these details and more in its 2024 Sustainability Report.
