Case study: Belk's 'seeing is believing' LED pilot

This case study features the Southern department store Belk Inc. and a LED retrofit pilot program that led to a broader energy efficiency rollouts across the company, including a redesign of their entire lighting infrastructure. 

Following the company's path step-by-step, the study, which includes a by-the-numbers financial analysis of Belk's pilot program, serves as an implementation model for others looking for similar achievements in energy efficiency. Created by the Retail Industry Leaders Association, or RILA, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy's Better Buildings initiatives, the study is part of a broader RILA program intended to develop implementation models, educate the industry and spur adoption of energy efficiency initiatives.
