The Home Depot, AT&T, Duke Energy featured in latest Beyond the Meter episodes

Building on the popularity of its initial three-episode release, Smart Energy Decisions continues its podcast series with three new episodes of Beyond the Meter, featuring guests from The Home Depot, AT&T, and Duke Energy.

The podcast is designed to elevate the conversation on critical issues impacting the adoption of renewable energy sourcing by large electric power users.   Beyond the Meter, made possible with support from REC Solar and Duke Energy Renewables, premiered in September with a special preview and the first three episodes of the season. Now three additional  episodes have been added, which can be found here and on all major podcast platforms

“We’re confident our community will enjoy listening to the three exclusive interviews featured in these episodes of Beyond the Meter," said John Failla, founder and editorial director of Smart Energy Decisions and host of Beyond the Meter. "They deliver on our promise to bring insights from  industry experts and leaders who are living and driving the energy transition  every day.”

The three latest Beyond the Meter episodes now available include:

Episode 4: The Home Depot Sustainability Approach
For Home Depot, making renewables a significant part of their energy procurement strategy was not fueled by a desire to become sustainable - it began because it makes financial sense. Craig D’Arcy, director of energy management for Home Depot, joins Failla and his co-host Craig Noxon, Vice President for Enterprise Sales at REC Solar, a Duke Energy Renewables Company, to discuss how Home Depot started its journey toward the use of renewables, how early successes encouraged further efforts, and how both the financial and efficiency benefits of using renewable energy has motivated them to keep innovating.

Episode 5: How Energy Providers Like Duke Energy Are Leading the Way
As one of the largest energy providers in the United States, Duke Energy is positioned to make a significant impact on the move toward renewable sources of energy. While some might see the renewable energy movement as a threat to a company like Duke, its leadership sees renewable energy as the future of energy providers across the nation. This conversation features Doug Esamann, Executive Vice President of Energy Solutions at Duke and Chris Fallon, Vice President of Duke Energy Renewables

Episode 6: How AT&T’s Corporate Sustainability Pledge Is Coming To Life
More and more companies are making corporate sustainability pledges - and it’s a good thing because corporations are some of the largest consumers of energy in the world. This episode inspires hope because it illustrates how a communication industry giant, AT&T, is leading the way in the sustainability movement. Shannon Carroll, Director of Global Environmental Sustainability at AT&T and Scott Macmurdo, Business Development Director at Duke Energy Renewables discuss their recent partnership on a renewable energy project that shows the kind of steps that can and should be taken by companies large and small.
