Huntsman Achieves Progress on Targets

Huntsman Corporation achieved 50% collective progress on its near-term Horizon 2025 targets, and its 5% emissions footprint continues to decrease. The chemical manufacturer also announced a reduction in total waste intensity.

The company published details in its 2022 corporate sustainability report titled, "Solutions for Sustainability."

"Sustainability, first and foremost, begins with safe operations," said Brittany Benko, Senior Vice President of Environmental, Health, Safety and Manufacturing Excellence and Corporate Sustainability Officer for Huntsman, in a statement. "Our focus remains on eliminating both process safety incidents and injuries. We continue to take steps to improve energy and water use efficiency, reduce waste, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from our operations as we continue to provide sustainable solutions to society." 

Huntsman discloses against the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), further improving the quality of its disclosures in accordance with both the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) frameworks. Limited assurance has been provided by a third party for the company's operational GHG emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) and water consumption.
