Vallarta Supermarkets has entered into a contract for the construction of an on-site renewable energy microgrid.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) through its Loan Programs Office (LPO) announced the closing of a $72.8 million loan guarantee to finance the development of a solar-plus-long-duration-energy-storage microgrid that will be located on the Tribal lands of the Viejas (Baron Long) Group of Capitan Grande Band of Mission Indians of the Viejas Reservation near Alpine, California. 

UC San Diego now has a lithium-ion battery system on site, thanks to efforts of the California Energy Commission.

Montgomery County, Maryland began construction on an integrated microgrid infrastructure project that will feature electric bus charging and on-site green hydrogen production powered by solar and battery energy storage.

Data center operator ViVaVerse Solutions entered into a partnership to build a 17-megawatt (MW) microgrid at the ViVa Center campus in Houston, Texas.
