December's Renewable Energy Forum Keynotes Announced

Executives from McCormick and Company, VF Services LLP, Arizona State University, and Switch will lead educational sessions at Smart Energy Decisions’ Renewable Energy Forum/Winter Edition, December 6-8, 2022. The event will return to the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa, in Huntington Beach, California.

This 10th edition of the Renewable Energy Forum will once again bring together energy and sustainability customers from large power users with the industry’s premier RE solution providers in an intimate resort setting on the Pacific Ocean. As over 75% of customers attending the event have reported their timeframe for purchasing is within the next 6-12 months – among the highest rate reported at any SED event – the focus is sure to be on creating and implementing renewable energy strategies and projects.

“As challenges to execute your renewable energy sourcing increase, so does the demand for collaboration,” said Lisa Carroll, SED’s Director of Community Development. “This event provides a great opportunity for energy customers to join their peers and potential solutions providers as they search for best-in-class strategies to set and meet their renewable energy goals.”

Educational sessions will feature:

  • An opening keynote from Jeff Blankman, Sustainable Manufacturing Manager, McCormick & Company on “McCormick’s Recipe for Success – An “All of the Above” Sustainability Strategy.”
  • Quen Howard, Procurement Manager at VF Services, will address the importance of collaboration from leadership and multiple stakeholders to meet renewable energy goals in “Renewable Strategies: Take it From the Top.”
  • Alise Porto, Vice President of Sustainability and Strategic Initiatives at Switch will present “Renewables: The Solution to Water Challenges at Switch Data Centers”
  • John Mack, Fleet Manager, Arizona State University will conduct an interactive session on "ASU's EV Initiatives & Effective Fleet Management"
  • SED’s Peer2Peer Session, for buyers only, allows them to meet and compare goals, challenges, and successes in implementing renewable energy programs.

Additional sessions, including Solutions Spotlights for energy customers only, will be added in the coming weeks.

Among the organizations that are confirmed or who have applied to attend are 7-Eleven, Albertsons Companies, Algonquin College, Amcor Rigid Packaging, Arizona State University, AT&T, Auburn University, Bedrock Detroit, Chick-fil-A, Inc., Daikin Comfort Technologies, General Motors, Intertek, Kirkhill, Maersk, Maricopa County, McCormick & Company, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, O-I, Orbia, paramount, Polycon Industries, QTS Data Centers, Rhode Island College, Riverside Community College District, Solvay Chemicals, Sony Picture Entertainment, SSA Marine, Switch, The Estee Lauder Companies, Inc., The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, UKG, Virginia Department of Education, Walmart, and WinnCompanies
