Watts Water Technologies Lowers Emissions by 31%

Watts Water Technologies, Inc. a manufacturer and provider of plumbing, heating, and water quality products and solutions, lowered its global water use intensity by 11% and purchased 100% certified renewable energy credits (RECs) to offset annual electric consumption at seven U.S. sites, which resulted in a 31% reduction of GHG emissions intensity.

The company also increased the number of suppliers participating in sustainability audits by 14% over 2021. Its suppliers represented over 94% of its 2022 global annual spend certified their conformance to the company’s Supplier ESG Standards.

Watts Water also designed products and solutions to benefit users and help their sustainability efforts based on the company’s “triple play” of Safety and Regulation, Water Conservation, and Energy Efficiency, which make up 74%, 37%, and 24% of Watts revenue stream respectively.

The company advanced to the low-risk category - Sustainalytics reported a 24% improvement in the ESG score in 2022. The MSCI score was maintained at “AA,” for the fourth consecutive year.
