Pitzer College building earns zero net energy certification
The Robert Redford Conservancy for Southern California Sustainability at Pitzer College has won the first higher education building certification in California for using zero net energy. The certification, from the International Living Future Institute, has been awarded to only three other higher education structures around the world.

Verizon announced the company will go carbon neutral by 2035 in its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. This goal will be achieved through a combination of reducing those emissions directly, migrating energy procurement in favor of renewable and clean energy and through the purchase of carbon offsets.
